A subjective list of inspirations for attractions and events for groups during their stay in Zakopane.

You are planning an event in Zakopane, a company trip, a conference or maybe a meeting with clients and you are wondering how to best fill the participants’ free time outside the hours spent in the conference room. We decided to prepare such a subjective list of suggestions that may help you in some way or inspire you when preparing a detailed program of your stay.

Of course, you should start by choosing the best hotel (which is also not without significance, because each hotel offers different conditions regarding conference rooms or the possibility of using the adjacent area – precisely in terms of events), of course this may not cause any major problems for everyone – but we also what that you know that we, as a local event agency, will be happy to take care of the comprehensive organization – including hotel bookings, transfers and, of course, the organization of all accompanying events.

However, returning to the point of our entry on our company blog viventure.pl – below we present such an open list of various integration and event proposals for organized groups in Zakopane.

Our proposals (open list):

• An outdoor event with Highlanders in a folk atmosphere – Folklore, Highland traditions, and music attract crowds of tourists to the Podhale region every year. Local traditions and customs are a perfect fit for various types of events. We offer an outdoor event featuring a bonfire, a regional menu (to be determined), a Highlander band, and a team of Highlanders who will engage participants in entertaining activities such as Highlander Games or a Highlander Picnic.

• Sleigh ride or summer carriage ride – Available in Chochołowska Valley, on Gubałówka, or even in the center of Zakopane, ending with a bonfire or a feast in a traditional inn. This can also be combined with the first option.

• Outdoor or city game – We offer multiple scenarios that can be organized in Zakopane, for example, around the Ścieżka pod Reglami trail or other parts of the city and Tatra Mountains. Participants can take part in regionally themed challenges, such as Wojtek Mateja’s Treasure, or more survival-adventure-oriented games like Rescue Mission or Explore the Mountain World. We can also arrange an expedition to Mylna Cave with guides and TOPR rescuers.

• Hiking trips, mountain excursions, and trekking – Led by top guides and TOPR rescuers. These can include classic mountain hikes with a stop at a mountain hut or more challenging routes, such as a cable car ride to Kasprowy Wierch followed by a hike down through Hala Gąsienicowa. We also organize trips to Slovakia to explore the Tatra Mountains on the other side.

• Cycling tours in Zakopane or around Czorsztyn Lake – The latter option can be combined with a Dunajec River Rafting Trip or another sightseeing activity, such as visiting Nowy Targ’s local market.

• Events with TOPR rescuers – Activities such as ziplining, rope bridge crossings, rock climbing, and mountain safety workshops. These can be combined with other attractions, including lunch or a bonfire.

• Winter avalanche safety events – An educational event focused on mountain safety in winter. This can include a demonstration of avalanche rescue dogs (subject to availability) or a lecture in a conference hall, followed by a practical outdoor session.

• Ski touring lessons – We can organize lessons for any type of skiing, including classic skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. For ski touring, we recommend a trip to Hala Kondratowa or Kalatówki, which can include a safety and avalanche training component.

• Survival experience – An outdoor event designed to introduce participants to the basics of mountain survival, wilderness skills, and safety in the mountains.

• Dunajec River Rafting – This can be combined with a cycling tour, a bonfire at the end, or a tour of the Spiš region.

• Trips to Slovakia – Destinations include the Treetop Walk, the Tatra Circle Route, Bielanska Cave, Demänovská Cave, Orava Castle, Spiš Castle, and the Ice Cave. Our tours are organized exclusively for private groups, and we provide guides, lunch at a Slovak restaurant, and a tasting of local cuisine.

• Thermal Baths (approx. 3 hours) – We recommend dividing participants into smaller groups, where some can enjoy the thermal baths while others go on an excursion or participate in workshops.

• Culinary workshops – Organized on-site at a hotel or guesthouse. These include liqueur-making workshops and Highlander cuisine workshops.

• Glass painting workshops – These can also be arranged at a hotel or other venue.

• Music workshops – Featuring percussion instruments from around the world.

• Shepherd workshops – A meeting with a traditional Highland shepherd (Baca), including a demonstration and lecture about Highlander culture and oscypek cheese, presented in an engaging and humorous atmosphere.

• Quad biking, off-road driving, or snowmobiling – 1-3 hour experiences on specially prepared routes.

• Firearms shooting range – A shooting training session or an introductory experience for those unfamiliar with firearms. We offer a large selection of different weapons for participants to try.

• Highlander-style outdoor cooking – A culinary workshop in the open air, which can be combined with a Highlander picnic, live music, and a bonfire.

• Evening events in traditional inns – Featuring Highlander Games, folk dance shows, live music, and entertainment until late at night. We guarantee 100% fun, delicious Highlander food, and plenty of good drinks. Suitable for both small and large groups, up to 500 people.

• Evening entertainment during banquets – Options include bartending shows, illusionist performances, live music acts, cover bands, casino nights, dance shows, tastings, light shows, cabaret acts, lectures, recitals, and much more. We handle the full production, including artists’ requirements, sound, lighting, and stage setup.

• Comprehensive group transportation – We arrange local and airport transfers for both groups and individual guests, available during the day or evening.
